Olympic Athlete Post #1

I am going to follow one olympic athlete in the 2016 Olympics. I am following a gymnast named Simone Biles. She is 19 years old and she was raised by her grandparents. Her sister is also a gymnast. She has 10 gold metals, but 14 metals total. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 6. She never missed practice. Lots of people think she is going to take the gold in the olympics. She trains 32 hours a week. The olympics start august 5.

  2. Zoe- I love that you're going to follow her and blog about it. I have to tell you that women's gymnastics is, by far, my favorite Olympic sport to watch. I also find it inspiring that that these athletes work so hard and practice so much. That's why they're so amazing!

  6. Hi Zoe,
I think that it is awesome that you are interested in gymnastics. I find it to be incredible the different things that gymnasts are able to do. I know that I could not do any of the things that I watch on TV. What made you want to follow Simone Biles in particular? Are you interested in any other sports or Olympic events? I am really excited for the Olympics and hope that you are able to see Simone take home a gold medal.
