Whats Cute and Whats NOT Cute

You may think that a little 3 year old brother is cute, but that isn't true in many ways. So many people think that babies and little things are cute, but if you have little brothers or sisters, you should know that babies and little things aren't always cute.
For example, you see a baby squirrel and it is nibbling on something, you probably will think that is cute. So you come close to it to pet it or give it a piece of bread, but then it jumps out at you and bites you. You don't think it is cute anymore, right? You probably hate that squirrel. Thats one reason why little things aren't cute, but let me tell you some more.
Another example is a baby, or a one or two or three year old. You see a little baby, and it is laughing and playing so happily. You think that it is so cute, so you go over to laugh and play with the baby. But as soon as you go over to the baby, it starts screaming and crying. You don't think that it is cute anymore. You don't like the baby. Thats another reason why little things aren't always cute.
So now you know why little things aren't always cute. If you still don't know, meet a little brother or sister of someone's or your friend's. Then you will know. So whenever you see something and think that it is cute, be careful, because it may not be.

Waiting to See President Obama

Today my mom took my sister and me out of school early and we met our friends and went to go see President Obama speak about Hillary Clinton.

It was such a long line!  It was really boring.  Our friends came.  Every time we felt like the line was never going to move, me and my friend went up ahead to check and see if we were even close.  We thought we were, but once the line sped up at the end we saw we were not close at all.  We waited 3 hours.  Lots of people came by with Trump signs, someone even said that it was closed and we should go home but they lied.  One time someone came by and said that the arena was full so we needed to go to the viewing area, but that ended up being full, too.

Even though we didn't get to see President Obama speak, we had to stop and not to our car because he was nearby.  So we got to see his motorcade come by us!  There were so many people who needed to protect President Obama.  Before we even saw the car he was in, there were so many motorcycles that were before him, after him, and next to him.

I'm glad we went even though we didn't get to hear the President speak.  It was still exciting waiting in the line and to get to see his car go by.  I would still tell people to try to get in but my advice is-- go early, and early means at least 5 hours, plus bring a lot of water and go to the bathroom first.

Eating Healthy

Eating healthy is important. Not just sometimes, but all the time. I eat healthy. I so used to eating healthy things that I like it. I love fruits and vegetables. I'm a vegetarian. I don't eat meat. That doesn't mean it's bad to eat meat, but some meat has things that people put in it that are bad for you.  For example, lots of people love to eat hot dogs, right? But did you know that the meat in hot dogs is the leftover parts of the animal. Gross right? Some people soak meat in chemicals, and thats bad for you. They soak the meat in chemicals because the meat is basically rotting flesh, so they soak it with that so it looks fresh, and so that you can leave it out for months and it will still be good. And the meat at Mc-donalds still has crushed up bones and eyeballs from the animal. That is so gross to me. When I grow up, I want to be vegan. If you are vegan, you don't eat anything from an animal. For example, you don't eat eggs, honey, ice cream, cheese, milk, butter, etc. But you can make vegan ice cream, vegan cheese, and you can have soy or almond milk instead of regular milk. And some people put non natural dye in some foods, instead of natural. At Whole Foods everything is natural, even the meat. They have a list of ingredients they don't allow in their store. I love shopping at Whole Foods, it is the best store ever. If you shop at Whole Foods and eat the food there, you will be very healthy. I am only 9 years old, and I know a lot about eating healthy, and some grown ups don't know anything about it. So eat healthy!
This is what I had for dinner on Thursday.  It is so good, and it's healthy.

Costs

When I was little, I didn't think about what anything cost. Now that I'm older, I know about costs. For example, when you see something at the store that you really like, and it is so perfect, you don't even pay attention to the price. But when you look at it, it's probably about 20 or 30 dollars. If you see something in the store that looks okay, but you don't really want it, it's probably 10 or 15 dollars. And do you know why you can't go to the movies so much? Because it probably costs 25 dollars a person. I have 5 people in my family, and I love going to disney world. But it costs 100 dollars per person per day! Thats a lot of money for 5 people. And plane tickets cost a lot. The cheapest you can get them is 300 dollars. It depends how far you go on a plane though. If you are going from Jacksonville to China, that could be 2,000 dollars per person! So if you have a big family, thats probably why you don't go to places a lot or go on many vacations. So don't complain about never going to any fun places.

Why I Love Book Club

I love Book Club because it gives me a chance to see my friends. I don't really ever see my friends because I switched to a new school, so I really love Book Club. Even though it's only once a month. Another thing I like about Book Club is that each time we have it, it's at one of our houses. My Book Club friends are Kaia and Norah. They are really nice and they always keep in touch with me with gmail. I also like staying up late with them. When we go to Kaia's house the moms never can stop talking, so we close her door and play quietly. But my other favorite part besides seeing my friends is the FOOD!!!! Whenever we go to Book Club, each of us has to bring a yummy snack. It has to be vegan because Kaia and her mom are vegan. Me and my mom are vegetarian, so it works out for us too. One mom brings the main meal, one mom brings a little side to go with the meal or a little dip, and one mom brings dessert, or a sweet treat for the end. Those are reasons why I really really really love going to Book Club!!!

School

The first week of school is over! I liked it. I had three teachers named Ms. D, Ms. N, and Ms H.  They are all really nice. On the first day I made two friends;  Chealsey and Zoe. Chealsey is in my class, and Zoe is in my switch class. Every day at 1:00, we switch classes. Our switch class is with Ms. N and Ms. H. Ms. N teaches us Mondays and Tuesdays, Ms. H teaches us Thursdays and Fridays, and on Wednesday they take turns. Ms. D is my main teacher. I like her. We have something in our class called a link chain (a paper chain) and every time we get a compliment she adds a link to it. Whenever we get to a certain level we get a treat. When we get to the bottom of the chain we get pizza! Every Friday we have a party, whoever gets an A in conduct gets to participate in it. Chealsey is really funny. She also lives really close to me. I have other friends named Dana, Katie, Ashley, Nia and Daydree. In switch class we are learning about poetry, and we are reading a book called Love That Dog. On Friday we had to write our on poem about what we depend on. Here is mine:
So much depends upon a soft pink cake,
scattered in blue flowers,
sitting on the window edge
of my quiet house.
We had to describe it in detail so that people could use imagery and imagine it. I think I did a good job. In Ms. D's class we have to see how many multiplication tables we can do out of 100, in five minutes. I am okay at that. But it is hard. When we are done we check it then finish it. Sometimes I rush through it and get some of them wrong. I do the easy ones first then the hard ones. That way I have already done a lot. Every day in switch class we come into the room, put our backpacks around our chairs, get our writing journals out, look to the smart board to read the prompt, and see what we have to write about, then write it. Sometimes Ms. N and Ms. H give us examples by telling us about something that happened to them to help get us started. School goes by really fast. So far my favorite resource is Music. We haven't gone to the library yet. We usually have a resource at 10:55, then we have a 15 minute recess, and right after that we have lunch, then we switch classes. And the whole school day is six hours. But to me it feels like two. The only thing I think goes by really slow is switch class. I am always taking glances at the clock, waiting for school to be over. My favorite thing to do in switch class is read, and I also like to write. The book I am reading is really good. It is called; From The Mixed Up Files of Ms. Basil E. Frankwiler. I read the first page, and the second I was done reading it I already liked the book. Weird, right? I really like it when Ms. D teaches us Science. It's fun. And interesting. Also cool. Sometimes we do projects, and we need a partner to do it, and me and Chealsey are always partners. School is fun!

My Dream Came True!

Today, my biggest dream came true!!!!
I got to go to a bakery and learn from two professional cake decorators how to decorate cakes!
I have wanted to become a cake decorator since I was 4 years old.
The cake decorators names were Caitlin and Brittany, they were both very nice. :)

First I washed my hands, then they gave me a hairnet and apron. I had an apron to keep my dress from getting dirty, and I had a hairnet to keep my hair from getting into the cake.

I frosted the middle of the cake, I had to push out the frosting really hard. Brittany spun the plate around for me while I squeezed the frosting out.

I put the top of the cake on, Caitlin said to lightly push it on so it would hold in place. Some of the frosting squeezed out from the middle. I wanted to eat it.

Brittany taught me how to point the pastry bag at an angle, cause you do't want any cake showing. She said once I get good at squeezing the frosting out and pointing it at an angle, I can do that with one hand and spin the plate with the other.

Then I finished frosting the top of the cake, and used the cake scraper to smooth it out. All you had to do was spin the plate and put the cake scraper at an angle, and then it turned out smooth. Brittany said that the cake scraper tool was awesome.

Then we got vanilla frosting and natural vegetable dye, and made frosting colors to decorate the cake. We all made flower cakes. Me and Brittany both made a vanilla cake, and Caitlin made a chocolate cake. I had gold flowers, pink flowers, and blue flowers. The gold flowers were marigolds, the pink flowers were roses, and the blue flowers were morning glorys.

I feel so proud of myself for making such a beautiful cake!
We are going to eat it after dinner, I can't wait to taste it!

Olympic Athlete Post #4

The Olympics have started! Well, a few days ago. I am excited! I have been watching highlights. There is a channel on Roku that you can watch to see the Olympics. It updates every day so you can see new videos. It has every sport in the Olympics, and if you click one, it shows you videos of people competing in that sport. I have been watching gymnastics and clicking videos of Simone Biles. She is the best gymnast in the world! She did a vault and landed without a single little jump! She got ten points for that. It is amazing watching her. Even on T.V. I like watching Simone Biles do floor routines the most, but I also like watching her on the parallel bars. I KNOW Simone Biles is going to get a gold metal!

My Summer Job

I have a summer job. My mom has a music class and I help her. We have to leave in the early morning and get ready. We get dressed, we eat breakfast quickly, my mom does my hair then we go. She has three classes, A 9am a 10am and a 11am. It is a class for really little babies, they are all really cute. I get paid five dollars for all three classes, my mom gets paid too. It is a hard job. I have to smile a lot, and that is hard for me. But the babies make me laugh. Every class is one hour long, and since we have to get there early, we usually end up being there four hours. After we are done with all the classes, we clean every thing up, and after that we are both sooooo tired. But it was worth getting paid and seeing cute babies! Do you have a summer job?
This is Rylan. He is one of my favorite babies. He is in the 11am class.

My Home

What is your home like? My home is a lot of things. My home is always one thing; Cozy. Well, everyone's home is cozy in someway, right? Anyway, moving on. My home is usually in between loud and whatever. There is usually a TV on somewhere in the house, even if nobody is watching. And Richmond and Teagan (my little brother and sister), are usually somewhere in the house screaming (in a good way), fighting, or calling for mom and dad. Mom and dad are usually on the computer or helping Richmond and Teagan. Me, well, I am usually on the iPad, reading, or fighting with my brother and sister. So, our house is usually whatever.

Visiting a TV set

I went to Atlanta to see my friends and we went to a TV set because the dad of the family works there.
It was really cool, but we didn't get to see them filming, but it was late at night.  We were eating dinner and whenever a bell rang, it means they were filming and you have to be quiet.  And when it rings again you can talk again.
We got to eat what the actors and crew ate!  I had pudding for dessert, and lots of pumpkin seeds.  The food was really good.  It was exciting to eat with the actors.  One of them I knew from watching on H2O Just Add Water but she wasn't working there the night I went, so I wrote her a letter that I really liked her and she is the only one I knew from the show they were shooting (because it's an adult show-- it's called The Originals) and one of the guys in charge was really nice and is going to give it to her.
What I learned from going to a TV set is it seems to be very busy and you have to be quiet!

Here I am eating where all the actors and crew eat.

Dessert

I love dessert. Almost any kind. But my favorite dessert so far is the cakes I make for my birthday. They are so good. Here are my five most favorite desserts: 1. My Birthday Cake, 2. Ice Cream Sand witches, 3. Cold S'mores, 4. Banana Splits, 5. Regular Ice Cream With Toppings. Yum! But I don't have dessert every day. I have it two times a week. On Wednesday, and on Saturday. I also like cupcakes, cookies, Banana Buttons, Muffins, and Brownies. Plus Pie. Candy is good, too. But not as good as dessert. I like to make desserts, give desserts, serve desserts, but mostly eat desserts!

                                                           !DESSERTS ROCK!

Birthday Party

I went to a birthday party. It was fun . I liked it. It was Norah's birthday party, she was turning nine. But it wasn't a regular birthday party, it was a pool party. There was a beach cake, it was really pretty. And yummy. I had really fun swimming. After we ate the cake, all of the boys and people under nine had to leave because it was mother daughter book club time. There was a bowl of Smarties candy on the table, we kept going over to the bowl and taking some. We talked about the book we read, and ate the food everybody brought. The party and book club were both so much fun!

People on Phones

So many people are always on their phones. When you are on your phone, you are not paying attention  to anything except for whats on your phone. If someone is trying to talk to you while you are on your phone, you can hear them, but you are not listening. It is bad to be on your phone for too long. And you should not sleep right next to your phone, sleep at least fifteen feet away from it because it always has Electromagnetic Force coming out of it even if you turn it off. They give off radiation all the time, and it is bad for your brain. So try not to be on any electronics all the time. Take a break and do something active, fun, and educational!

Olympic Athlete Post #3

The final olympic athletes were chosen. Gabby Douglas made it! It must of been hard, they deserve it. I  don't think I could of done it. I am so excited for them to start! They start August fifth. My favorite thing they do is the floor routine, then the parallel bars, then the balance beam. I bet all the gymnasts who made it are very proud of themselves. I hope that Simone Biles takes home the gold! I am sure she will. Go gymnastics!
Here they are: Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and Madison Koican!

Olympic Athlete Post #2

Today they decide which five women gymnasts are going to be in the olympics. Simone Biles made it! Even though she made some mistakes, she still made it and got first place! Laurie Hernandez came in second, and Allie Riseman came in third. They don't know who will come in fourth or fifth, but tomorrow they decide for sure. I hope Gabby Douglus makes it. Whenever I watch women doing gymnastics on TV, it looks so hard that sometimes its so hard to believe its real. But I know it is real. I totally think that Simone biles is going to get first place in gymnastics this year.

Knitting

I learned how to knit! Do you know how to knit? I learned in one day. It is really easy. If you want to make a blanket, you have to have a really big knitting needle. I mess up a lot. But it doesn't look bad. There is just a little hole in the blanket. when you knit, you just switch back and fourth between the knitting needles. Knitting is really fun and easy! All you need is a ball of yarn and two knitting needles.
And it doesn't have to be any special kind of yarn or knitting needles. Just make sure the yarn is a bit thick and soft if you are making a blanket. I think you should try knitting! Its fun and very easy!

Olympic Athlete Post #1

I am going to follow one olympic athlete in the 2016 Olympics. I am following a gymnast named Simone Biles. She is 19 years old and she was raised by her grandparents. Her sister is also a gymnast. She has 10 gold metals, but 14 metals total. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 6. She never missed practice. Lots of people think she is going to take the gold in the olympics. She trains 32 hours a week. The olympics start august 5.

Bike Riding

Do you know how to ride a bike? I do. Well, almost. I know how to ride straight. I just need to learn how to take off, and turn. I had a bike for two years, and it just sat in my garage! But my mom said that I had to learn how to ride a bike in the summer because we were going to ride our bikes to school. I kept saying I couldn't do it while I was riding my bike. Then my mom went on one side of the bike, and my dad went on the other. I started to cry, my dad let go of holding the bike, I was riding on my own, but I didn't notice because I was crying. Then I noticed, and I stopped crying and smiled. I was riding on my own! I was so proud of myself. It wasn't so hard after all! Once you learn, it's easy.

Animals

I love animals. My favorite kind of animal is a rabbit. My top five favorite animals are: One, rabbit. Two, kitten. Three, leopard. Four, dog. Five, dolphin. I don't have a pet. But I wish I did. If I had a pet I would be responsible. I would; wash it, feed it, walk it, play with it, and make it feel comfortable. But I don't like caged pets. I mostly like wild animals because they are free.

Draw

Do you like to draw? I really, really like to draw. My favorite thing to draw is cakes. But I also like to draw animals and things from nature. Sometimes I like to draw people, but I am not so good. Whenever it is close to my birthday I draw cakes and show my mom some examples of what I want my cake to look like. Sometimes, when I am drawing with a pen and I mess up, I get mad. But I know I can just trace over it and draw what I wanted to draw. But sometimes I like to color in a coloring book, and I also like to color in what I draw. It is really fun to draw, color and sketch. At least I think so.  DRAWING RULES!!!

Reading

Do you like to read? I do. In school I did a reading challenge and read over sixty books. It was hard, but it was worth it because I got a trophy. Every summer I read at least twenty five books, or read a series of books. It is hard and fun. I read really fast, I read at a 7th grade level! And I am only in fourth grade, so thats a big deal. Right? I read twenty five pages a day, in summer or not! I also read five hundred page books. One time I couldn't stop reading a book because it was so good, and I finished the book in about twenty minutes! So fast! It was so fun! I was proud of myself!

My Family

What is your family like? I have five people in my family; Me, little brother, little sister, Mom, and Dad. I have a sister and a brother. My brother is the youngest, my sister is the middle, and I am the oldest. It is hard being the oldest, especially because it is such a big responsibility. I am always the one getting in trouble, and I have to do the most work of the kids. Richmond barely has to do anything. Teagan has to do a quarter of the kids work. I have to do the most of the kids work. Sometimes Richmond gets in trouble for not doing that much work, and sometimes Teagan gets in trouble for not taking care of Richmond. But I still get in trouble the most. My dad does the most work in the family, and my mom does all the cooking.

My Room

I have a really pretty room. Do you? Me, my mom, and my sister, painted it. There is colorful beads hanging from the ceiling, and pictures everywhere on the wall. But I don't have the room all to myself. I share it with my sister. It is annoying sharing a room with her, mainly because I am neat and clean and she is messy and dirty. We used to share a bed. But it didn't work out. So my brother took our bed (it was a queen bed and my brother is only three) my sister took my brother's bed, and I got a new bed. Me and my sister each have our own bookshelf of books. My sister is six and I am nine.

When I Grow Up

When you grow up what do you want to be? I want to be a Cake Decorator. The name of my bakery will be, Zoe's Cakery. I will be the boss of the whole shop! I hope my three best friends, Sadie, Liza, and Morgan, will work with me at the shop. On the day I open the shop, I will make a HUGE cake and anyone who comes over and wants a slice can have one for free! But I won't only make cakes, I will also make Coffee and Cappuccino. For my birthday I always decorate my own cake. It is fun.

Lalaloopsy Tinies

Do you know what Lalaloopsy Tinies are? I do. I have over sixty Lalaloopsy Tinies. One time, for my sister's birthday, me and my mom bought a cheesecake and decorated it all over with Lalaloopsy Tinies.  It was so yummy. We had strawberries with the cake, and whipped cream. I don't just have Lalaloopsy Tinies, I also have Lalaloopsy Minies, Big Lalaloopsys, and Baby Lalaloopsys. And I have all the houses for the Lalaloopsys. Here are all the houses names: Hospital, Theater, Treehouse, Jewel's House, Crum's House, Castle, and Ice Cream Shop. They also have things to play with, things to eat, pets, and like I told you, they have houses. LALALOOPSY TINIES ROCK!!!

Swimming

I have a pool. I love to swim in it. We have lots of pool toys like; 4 floaties, 1 vollyball net, 6 balls, 1 basketball net, and 1 squirty fish. We have a shallow end and a deep end. Our shallow end is 3 and a half feet, and our deep end is 9 feet. It hurts my ears when I swim to the very bottom of the deep end. Sometimes I like to lay down on a floatie and lounge. It feels good. But if I do it for too long I get sunburned. I like to do cool flips and handstands in the shallow end. It is kinda like gymnastics, but easier because you float. I also like to dance in my pool with my sister, Teagan. SWIMMING ROCKS

Rainbow Loom

Have you ever heard of Rainbow Loom? I have it. I know how to make a lot of bracelets; I know how to make a starburst, I know how to make a fishtail, I know how to make a ladder, and I know how to make a reagular Rainbow Loom bracelet. I am learning how to make a Rainbow Loom bracelet called Diamond. I have Rainbow Loom charms, Rainbow Loom bands, and Rainbow Loom hooks. I hope I get Multi-Colored Rainbow Loom bands sometime. I love Rainbow Loom!!!

Midnight Sun Crystals

Today I went to a shop called Midnight Sun, it is in a place called Five Points. At Midnight Sun I got seven crystals. Here were the names of the crystals: Green Aventurine, Red Aventunne, Tiger, Clear Quartz, Sm. Sodalite, Howlite, and Citrine. Each crystal does something and has a meaning, and each crystal needs to be cleaned and charged. In Five Points all the shops are little. Midnight Sun does not just sell crystals. It also sells jewelry, wood sculpturs, windchimes, lamps, colored rocks, etc. It is a really pretty looking shop.

How you might enjoy visiting Florida

This is how you might enjoy visiting Florida: There is Disney World, and people come all over the world to go there. The Beach, The Florida Theater, and all the museums, there is no blizzards, barely any tornados, and Universal. There is also really freash water, Legoland, Gainsville, and finally, The Zoo!

Book Challenge: Zoe's Wrap up!

I did it!

I read 52 books for the reading challenge!  I really read more than that but not all of them fit into a category.

I want to tell you about what I think about the reading challenge but first I need to tell you about 4 things I read that I didn't take a quiz on:

Charlotte's Web (a play):  I liked the story but it as hard to read it because it's not like any other story, you have to read it in a  certain way and act like the characters.  It is easier if you read it out loud but I still didn't like it.

Grimm's Fairy Tales: Mainly, I read one per night out loud to my sister. These stories are scary!  Someone always dies and they are different versions of Disney stories but scarier.  There were about 30 stories.

Heartsongs:  I was excited about the book because his cover was something he drew and it was a good illustration.  He got published at 11 years old.  I feel like other 11 year olds could have done a little bit better, though.   I didn't want to finish it, but I did for the challenge.

Bridge to Teribithia:  I feel upset that I didn't do good on this AR quiz, so I will write something about the book.  I really liked Leslie, she was really adventurous and had a good imagination.  It was totally stupid that they made her die.

The reading challenge was fun and hard at the same time, but now I am glad that I am done with it!   At first I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it, but I did it!

Music Video Parody Experience #5

Students should be allowed to work on Music Videos during school/class time because it is learning how to be patient, learning outside, practicing math, learning how to show expression, and getting exercise.  We also had fun.  It's important to have fun sometimes even when your at school. Movement helps you learn better.

My Book is about...

I am in the process of writing a book. It is about two girls named Ivy and Sara. It is fun to write it. Anyway, it is really exciting and you never know what is going to happen. So far I only hve three characters in my book, but I am about to add another two. Ivy and Sara are usually excited to find out what is happening, but sometimes they get scared or mad or sad. I will keep writing until I finish the book!image

Skypportunity with a Video Game Coder

Our class Skyped with a video game coder.

Daniel lives in england, bristol, united kingdom.  He works on computers, and plays the saxophone. One of the games he made is called, “sir, you are being hunted.” he plays different types of saxophone. He is good at coding.  He also talked to us about Minecraft.

He said we could write him with more questions, so I did.   I asked him about the saxophones.  There are 10 kinds and he plays 3 kinds of saxophone.

This is him playing the alto saxophone:

Musical Parody Lesson#3- What is our music video parody about?

Our music video parody is about multiplication and division. The background music is the music to hello. Our parody is funny.  I am the first clip because I have red hair like Adele so it's funny.  The song is saying times tables are frustrating but if we keep trying we will get it.
Watch it here:

Musical Parody Lesson#2- My own parody lyrics

We watched music videos to see what we liked about certain ones.

I like music videos that have real people, instead of cartoons, because it seems like whenever it is cartoon it only is crazy, but if it is real people, it teaches you a lesson. It is hard to shoot them.

I like to read it read it

He likes to read it read it

She likes to read it read it

We like to  - write it!

Musical Parody Lesson#4: Three Things I Learned

The three things I learned about a Music Video Parody are these: First, there are many clips; You cannot have just one clip, it just wouldn't work, so you have to use about thirty five clips. Second, you have to have patience; It won't always be your turn, and there is a LOT of waiting. Third, It looks easy, but it is hard; You usually see a Music Video Parody before you do one, and the people who are doing it make it look easy, but it is actually REALLY hard. And finally, Forth, you need to choose a popular song; It cannot just be a regular song, because no one would understand the joke of the song. Here is a link to the Parody

My Letter to Captain Nemo

I wrote a letter to Captain Nemo. He is from a book called; 2ooo Leagues Under the Sea. Mrs Paul read it to the class. I was Ned, writing a letter to Captain Nemo. It was fun pretending to be Ned talking to Captain Nemo as I read my letter. I hope you enjoy the video.

Musical Parody Lesson#1: Music Parody Experience

We are doing a music video parody to "Hello by Adele". Instead of Hello, it's called; Multiply and then Divide (we call it hello parody too). We have to do a lot of shooting, and it takes a lot of time and effort. We are almost done, but still working on it. I would say we are about halfway done. Sometimes we have to redo some shoots, because we did it wrong. To me, it's fun and hard. We want to make our parody funny. It is about times tables. I hope you like our parody when we are done!

I would get my water from...

If I didn't have pipes to bring water to my house I would get water from waterfalls. Waterfalls with natural water from the rainforest, and nothing unnatural would be in the water. I think it would be cool to get  water from waterfalls.

The Best Candidate

(In my 3rd grade class we all have to nominate a fictional character for President.)

I think the best candidate for our class mock election would be Leslie Knope from the TV show Parks and Rec because she always keeps promises to people, and she is very considerate & caring. She is a council woman, and she always tries to make people happy with what they have. She is very honest and admits what she does.  She is a hard worker and she almost never sleeps. She is a good role model for girls.

VOTE FOR LESLIE KNOPE!!!  She wants to make peoples lives better and she cares about nature!

Here is a video of Leslie Knope--- there are better examples but the videos were too long.  In this one she is in charge of the parks in her town and she is hanging bird feeders in the parks:

School 100 Years Ago

I am glad I did not go to school 100 years ago because the teachers were not very nice.  Some teachers wack the students with a their cane if they do not pay attention, or make the student wear a dunce cap. In the winter, they had to sit next to a heater, because back then they did not have air conditioning. I think it was hard for the students to participate and pay attention when the teacher was treating them like that. :(

My Friend's Dream

The name of my friend is Brooke. Her dream is in Atlanta. She is on a flowery hill, with me, Zoe, and Efrat. We are all wearing flowers in our hair, and yellow and orange dresses. We're looking at the sunset, sitting on grassy flowery fields on a hill. We all stay there till we see the stars. We walk down the hill, and once we are at the bottom of the hill, we go to sleep, in our house. We live together, and we all go out every evening, to see the sunset. But we also go out early in the morning to see the sunrise. They are both beautiful to watch.

Traveling on a train to...

I would like to travel on a train with my family, including my cousins. We would go to Yellowstone! We would have fun seeing geysers erupt. We would eat lunch by the geysers, the lunch would be sandwiches, and cupcakes. Every night, before we went to sleep, we would watch the live cam of Old Faithful. Everything would be so fun!

Speed-Boat

April, James, Layla, Sadie, and Jack are on the beach, checking out this very fast speed-boat, but a whale is driving the speed-boat instead of a person. They want to go on the speed-boat, so they yell to the whale, and he comes over and gives them a ride. The children are amazed by how fast and far the speed-boat is. The whale is such a good  driver! They stay on the speed-boat for two more hours, then get off. They say thank you to the whale, and then go home. What a fun day! They will go on the speed-boat again tomorrow. 🐳👧🏻👦🏽👩🏼👶🏽🙋🏻🚣
